Install and connect

Before you begin

Section titled “Before you begin”

You need:

  • a running Music Assistant server;
  • the server URL reachable from the device running Luuster;
  • an authentication token or supported account credentials;
  • a development build of Luuster.

A local server URL often looks similar to:

http://192.168.1.50:8095

A reverse-proxied installation may use an HTTPS address instead.

Connect

Section titled “Connect”
  1. Open Luuster.
  2. Enter the full Music Assistant server URL.
  3. Choose token or password authentication when offered.
  4. Submit the connection form.
  5. Wait for the initial server state to synchronize.

After a successful connection, Luuster stores the connection information using the platform’s secure-storage facilities where supported.

Verify the connection

A useful first check is to confirm that:

  • the home screen loads server-provided content;
  • your players are visible;
  • selecting a player exposes its playback state;
  • play or pause updates the target player;
  • the queue can be opened.

Continue with Troubleshooting when the initial connection succeeds but the interface remains empty or stale.
